传媒学院办学点设在武汉、荆州两个校区。武汉校区坐落在美丽的中法生态城、武汉蔡甸区的知音湖畔。荆州校区位于长江中游的历史文化名城湖北省荆州市。学院建有高品质、高规格的苹果图形工作站、多功能演播大厅、多声道专业录音棚、摄影棚、同声传译室、手绘实验室、智慧教室等一批专业实验室。学院设有播音与主持艺术、广播电视编导、产品设计、数字媒体艺术、视觉传达设计等专业。

学院现有在校生2200余人，聘请了专兼职教师180余人。学院以提高艺术传媒类人才培养质量为中心，以与国际接轨的实训、实验和实践平台建设为基础，实行“3+3”人才培养模式，以及学生、学院、家庭、社会“四位一体”育人体系，开展“三才计划”学生工作品牌活动，着力培养具有创新能力与国际视野的艺术传媒类高级人才与未来的艺术大师。

学院培养的拔尖人才成绩突出。近三年，学生获得国家级、省级各类学科竞赛奖170余项，包括获全国大学生计算机设计大赛一等奖，获湖北省全媒体主持新人大赛金奖，获评全国大学生自强之星、全国百佳心理委员称号等，师生同台担任杭州亚运会主持人被央视等媒体报道等。历届毕业生一次性就业率在93%以上，一年级英语四级通过率达到52%以上。毕业生中有担任央视春晚导演组导演，考取世界百强名校研究生，被伦敦大学学院纪录片制作专业录取读研等。

The Yangtze University School of Communication is situated within the university’s Wuhan campus, located by the scenic Zhiyin Lake in the Sino-French Ecological City of Caidian District, Wuhan. Committed to excellence under the "Three First-Class" standards, the school features high-quality professional laboratories, including Apple graphics workstations, multifunctional broadcasting studios, multichannel professional recording studios, photography studios, simultaneous interpretation studios, hand-drawn animation labs, and smart classrooms. It offers undergraduate majors in Broadcasting and Hosting Arts and Digital Media.

The school currently has 2,243 enrolled students and employs over 180 full-time and part-time faculty members. Upholding the principle of moral education and "all-staff, all-process, all-around" educational philosophy, it integrates teaching, administrative, and ideological education resources to prioritize students’ full development. School policies, faculty efforts, and performance evaluations are all oriented toward students’ comprehensive cultivation. The school implements a "3+3" talent development model and a "four-in-one" education system involving students, the school, families, and society. It also runs the "Three Talents Program", a flagship student development initiative. Additionally, the school collaborates with leading enterprises to align programs with industry needs, offering industry-academia integrated classes such as the Shendu Design Class and Yangqi Media Class.

With a focus on disciplinary development, the school appoints academic leaders and employes renowned professors to strengthen its faculty. It emphasizes the introduction of international artistic talent, building a "dual-qualified" teaching team with innovative educational ideas, academic excellence, and a balanced structure.

Centered on enhancing the quality of art and communication education, the school leverages internationally aligned practical training and experimental platforms to cultivate advanced communication professionals and future artistic geniuses with innovative capabilities and global perspectives.

In recent years, faculty and students have received over 200 national and provincial awards. The school maintains a student graduate employment rate exceeding 93%, with over 48% of first-year students passing the CET-4. Outstanding alumni include director group member of the CCTV Spring Festival Gala, broadcasters for the Hangzhou Asian Games, and broadcasters, editors, journalists, and new media professionals at provincial and municipal media and press organizations.

Students have also achieved top honors in competitions such as the national first and second prizes of China Collegiate Computing Design Contest, the "The Stars of Self-improvement of Chinese College Students" award, the "National Top 100 Psychological Student Committee Member" title, and the outstanding production prize of Qiyue Recitation Art Festival. Additionally, numerous graduates have been admitted to prestigious universities for postgraduate studies, including University College London, University of Hong Kong, University of Melbourne, University of Sydney, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan University, and Communication University of China.
